The lighting
A diary of Alexanda Carnera
Lysningen is a heartfelt and moving diary: an attempt to regain faith in life through the healing power of scripture. Through thoughts about everyday life in and around Copenhagen, now and then interrupted by smaller trips, with the involvement of both poets and writers, the narrator seeks to arrive at an understanding of what it means to live in this time.
"When I always saw him standing and painting without even once being disturbed by my presence, I knew he didn't need more space.
At that time I had promised myself that I would do my work with the same slowness, with the same watchful presence: quietly, unaffected by others who might be near, in perfect independence, without recognition, without encouragement, without expecting anything, without to worry about being seen or discovered.”
